TIME IS FILLED WITH SWIFT TRANSITIONS

April 1, 2020

It is with our deepest sorrow we inform you of the passing of our beloved friend and brother, The Reverend Doctor Kenneth Q. James, pastor of the Walls Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Charlotte and Editor of the Church School Literature. Dr. James' life and labor was intricately woven into the tapestry and faith fabric of our Zion. He was widely admired for his iconic style, great fashion taste. Please keep his siblings, son Frank, grandchildren, Walls Church and Bishop George Battle covered in perpetual prayer for the days ahead.

Arrangements are incomplete and we will keep you notified. In the meantime, we stand on the assurance of God's word, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

We pray God will expedite the night and usher in the dawn of day.
